2010 Kick Off Meeting Minutes
The 2010 meeting was held on December 6th, 2009 at Steven Taylor's house with 16 members present. Dinner and sign-ups for 2010 were held. Steven Taylor & Pat Stein explained the new dues process that combines club, KBF/TBF and FLW dues into one payment. All club officers from 2009 were re-elected to serve the club in 2010. The office of Youth Director remains vacant. The 2009 BBM Awards Banquet will be held on January 30th and the cost is $5 per person or $10 per couple. Cocktails begin at 5:30pm and dinner will be served at 6:30pm. Unlike in previous years, the club will provide ALL of the food. RSVP to Doug at 502-348-6002. More information will be sent to the membership. The annual Youth Fishing Day has been postponed indefinitely due to significant ice storm damage to the facilities at Holt's Lake. More discussions will be held at the banquet as to potential alternative sites. The bylaws were reviewed and the following changes were approved. On item #9 in the bylaws, the buy-in option for the Classic has been eliminated & minimum number of tournaments fished reduced from six to four. In addition, in order to be eligible to fish the Classic, each team will be responsible to pay $11 for each tournament where both team members are not present. This change is meant to ensure proper funds are available for the Classic payout. Two modifications to the tournament rules were suggested and approved by the membership. The tournament limit has been reduced from six fish to five fish and the penalty for a dead fish has been increased from 0.2lb to 0.8lb/ea. The last item on the agenda was the creation of the tournament schedule for 2010. As in 2009, we will have 4 day tournaments and 4 night tournaments. The tournaments commence Sunday, March 21st at Green River and will conclude with the 2-day Classic on September 25th and 26th. Click on the link below for the complete schedule.
2010 Membership Drive
Similar to 2009, the club is looking to bolster the membership roles to increase tournament participation. If you have any perspective members, please have them contact Pat Stein at jstein@insightbb.com for information. We are also looking to advertise in local papers, media, etc... . Contact Steve or Pat if you have any suggestions. As in previous years, we will cap the membership at 50 members.
