THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL APPLY:

 

1. There will be a 6 fish limit per boat and they must measure 12" on a Golden Rule. (If state has a lake limit, that limit will apply.) A 2 lb. penalty will be assessed for any short fish. Large mouth, small mouth and Kentucky spotted bass only.

 

2. At no time shall a competitor have reduced to possession more than 6 bass as described above.

 

3. Any fish that appears to have been mutilated in any way will be weighed in at the discretion of the tournament officials. There will be two tenths of lb. (0.2 lb) penalty for each dead fish and no-bonus for live fish. All live fish (unless trophy fish over 5 lbs.) will be returned to the lake. Two tenths penalty applies to Big Fish also.

 

4. Life jackets must be worn anytime the big engine is running above idle speed. Alcoholic beverages, stimulants or depressants will NOT be allowed.

 

5. Boats will go out in the order of the number drawn. No entries will be accepted after releasing the first boat.  A 5 minute grace period will be allowed for check-in. If 4:00 p.m. is the ending time everyone must be inside the announced area and tickets must be turned in by 4:05 p.m. or you will be disqualified. (Pre-Tournament meeting 15 minutes before the start.)

 

6. No live bait, only artificial lures or prepared pork may be used. No trolling. Only casting, spinning or spin cast tackle permitted. Rods may not exceed 8 feet in length.

 

7. Boats must have some type of ignition kill switch and aerated live wells to preserve fish.

 

8. OFF LIMITS will be within 50 yards of another competitor's boat which is first anchored.  The Tournament Chairman will announce OFF-LIMITS areas prior to the Tournament.

 

9. Any protest must be made in writing and turned in within 15 minutes after the close of tournament hours to a Tournament Official (Bardstown Bassmasters Officer.) The decision of the Tournament Committee will be final. 

 

10. All Contestants are subject to a polygraph test and agree to abide by the results. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

11. Maximum two (2) persons per boat. (You may fish alone.)

 

12. All boats are required to remain in the water during tournament hours. Contestants must leave and return to official checkpoint by boat. Boats trailered during tournament hours must not leave the ramp site area (exception: Barkley or Kentucky Lakes) or the contestants will not be allowed to weigh fish. Angler must be in boat to land fish.

 

13. Interpretation and implementation of these rules will be up to the discretion of the Tournament Committee.

In consideration of the privilege of participation in this event, I hereby waive and release tournament officials and all sponsoring organizations from all claims for injury or damages incurred in connection with this event.
